Howard cares for those at the marginsNorthern Tasmania will roll out the red carpet early this
afternoon for a two-day prime ministerial visit. Electioneering,
says premier Paul Lennon. "The people of Tasmania are sick and tired of his
smoke-and-mirror tricks with funding. "We only see or hear him down here when there's an election
coming. "Mr Howard should not be allowed to swan in and prance about
without having the acid put upon him to deliver things that really affect
Tasmanians." Bass and Braddon are the most marginal of the Tasmanian House
of Reps seats (which are all Labor-held), and they’re both in the north of
the state. Officially, Howard will launch new Liberal candidate Michael
Ferguson’s campaign today, and tomorrow speak at a childhood obesity forum tomorrow. |
